Need for Speed Underground

Need for Speed Underground

Need for Speed Underground 2 is a better game in all respects than its predecessor. And it is not small merit of this that franchising takes a rather original turn, although the way in which it does it is not particularly original.
But the biggest change for NFSU 2 is the addition of a free city to navigate, in which you can navigate through the built-in GPS system of your car. This means that you are no longer choosing ‘races’ by clicking on the menu items when you are ready to start a new one, instead, programmers gave you a fairly large city with five noticeably different surroundings to ride around and look for these “races” . And this is a truly monumental change in the fundamentals of franchising gameplay, as it allows the player to race at his own pace and gives a sense of freedom.
Career mode becomes a private campaign of a single-mode: much more immersive, free and, ultimately, very, very addictive to it. You start out as an inexperienced newbie racer and have to make your way through the street racing ranks. As you win the race, your reputation improves, and you start signing new sponsors. After some time, you are already starting to race with very serious aces and have at your disposal a new set of parts, which are inundated with local stores. The goal in the game is to become the best racer and make it the most impressive. Playing back from the finish for three seconds or less and making the craziest upgrades to your car. Over time, your star rating grows, and you get more and more money from sponsors.
For all the time of crazy races, you will enjoy the scenery around what looks like a true road network in a big city: with reasonably paved highways, with competent road exits and interweaving of urban areas. In addition to all serious changes, NFSU 2 includes many new or additional features that you would expect from any good continuation. Three new gameplay modes are added to the racing circuit of the old game: drift and drag racing. Each of them differs slightly from the other and to compete in them on the level, you will have to carefully customize your car for each gameplay mode. Speaking of setting up your cars,
The tuning level has been increased, allowing you to receive, for example, a new set of wheels. But there is a ruse; Every time you get a new car, you will need to set it up from scratch. And although it may sound somewhat frustrating, the idea here is to make you win races so that you make your new car as spectacular as the previous one, and perhaps even more spectacular and cool. As your reputation grows, more and more areas and more automotive parts become available. But the most important thing here is that this whole concept works as it was intended: it all holds the attention of the player, who is thirsting for an increasing number of races,
Though extremely attractive, and highly addictive, but Need for Speed Underground 2 is not without its mistakes. The decision to use the Playboy Brooke Burke model commenting on the videos, and actually serving as your manager, was not a good move by the producers. Brooke is represented in the game in quite skillfully directed videos that move the plot and will talk to you on a cell phone quite often. She certainly looks even better without her clothes, but she just doesn’t understand anything about acting.
Her diction makes one think that she definitely needs to take a few lessons in drama class at a local amateur theater. Besides,
In addition to the sad voicing of the characters, several racing “tracks” are felt too ordinary from time to time. But we have to admit that the situation is not so hopeless because of the way in which the gameplay unfolds, and the tracks are still much more diverse than in the original. So in the grand scheme of things, I could easily have missed this remark, since it really does not spoil the addictive quality of the game.
NFSU2 looks just great, with fantastic models of racing cars, dynamic lighting, and very believable real-time weather effects. Although a few details in the scenery are distinctly low-poly (like ordinary street traffic), the designers used very clever tricks to make sure that the things that will be in your focus during the race will be pretty beautiful.
Great soundtrack game; A significant choice of hard rock and hip-hop tunes raises the sense of playing to new heights and reinvents the new genre of ‘tense arcade racing’. In simple terms, NFSU2 offers a HUGE adrenaline rush to the player; the biggest adrenaline level of speed that I have ever had when playing racing simulators.
What the developers have left for game physics is in my humble opinion, somewhere above the average level: it does not feel overly realistic, but still fairly natural during your driving. The damage model is missing, probably because a more sophisticated damage model would add too much voltage to the CPU, which would be occupied by countless calculations, all the changes that occur on the screen. Artificial intelligence is aggressive and highly demanding, and the races become more and more difficult as you progress further in the game. Of course, if the ordeal becomes too easy for you,
Need for Speed Underground 2 is a successful continuation of the NFS game series and is worthy of a gamer. Starting to play it, you will forget what sleep and food are, a day for you will be 25 hours long, it’s just not possible to break away from the trails when the most advanced riders are ahead on the horizon.
